Holiday Support Schedule – December 2014 WordPress template

If you are already a CSSIgniter member then you already now about our effort to provide the best possible support. A typical meaningful response to any question won’t take more than a few hours. In every case, all support tickets must be resolved within 24 hours. As the winter holiday season is just around the corner, we need to take some time off and make sure that we will be able to provide this kind of support in 2015 too. Don’t worry, we aren’t going anywhere, we will just be operating on a reduced schedule just for a couple of days.

CSSIgniter WordPress contribution days

CSSIgniter WordPress contribution days WordPress template

Right after we attended WordCamp Europe, we made a pact as a company to follow through on Matt’s five for the future, calling all WordPress focused companies to dedicate 5% of their resources working for WordPress.

Since there are four of us at CSSIgniter right now, and since my right leg can’t code by itself (yet), we decided to dedicate 5% of our time. That means for one day each month (to start with), we will run a WordPress contribution marathon as a company and the first of these contribution events will take place tomorrow, 29/10.

Technical talks are amazing and fulfilling but the Open Source inspirational mentality is what makes them possible, what even makes WordCamps possible. Coupling this with Matt’s post about investing 5% of a company’s resources towards the well-being of WordPress, I firmly believe we had the most inspirational WordCamp weekend, at least one that I have attended personally.

So much more than a price change WordPress template

Just a bit over two years ago, when we launched CSSIgniter, we started off with high hopes and expectations and it’s exhilarating to watch our hard work come to fruition. It’s arguably an understatement to simply say that so far it has been a life changing experience for us. Throughout these last two years we’ve grown our portfolio to 62 themes (that’s an average of almost 2.3 themes per month), grown from zero to 17,000 paying customers, answered more than 10,000 customization support tickets, added new talent to our team, and all that doing what we love most: developing for WordPress and talking to our members.

Announcing WPML compatibility

Announcing WPML compatibility WordPress template

We might have been a bit quiet lately, but the world of WordPress is constantly evolving and we work hard to keep everything up to date, as well as providing more features and new themes. You may already know that a brand new version of WordPress is due (v3.8), and we are double-checking that our themes will work flawlessly.

Speaking of features, setting up multilingual installations is one of those things that our members seem to be doing quite often. We’ve built internationalization support into our themes since day one, by properly wrapping all text instances into gettext functions and providing the appropriate files. However, translating a theme and having a multilingual website, is a whole different story as WordPress can’t handle multilingual websites natively.
