Our popular WooCommerce theme Hugo just received a major update.

It’s Hugo’s turn to receive some special treatment. Our popular WooCommerce theme has just been updated with improved security, cleaner code and of course some new features. Let’s take a closer look.

Behind the scenes

As with all our previous themes, Hugo’s code has been cleaned up and sanitized where needed. We have focused our efforts on improving the theme’s speed and making it more secure. We have improved the Customizer experience by making sure all of the theme’s widgets work as expected and by incorporating more WooCommerce options so you can manage as much as possible from a single location. Finally the theme’s styling has been cleaned up and brought up to speed with modern design trends.

Added functionality

As usual there are new things to mess around with. You can now do more through the Customizer, we have added options to help you create custom color schemes quickly and easily, you also have the ability to manipulate header images for all post types through the Customizer. If you like building things visually, you’ll be happy to hear that there are three new custom Elementor modules built in to Hugo, which will help you create stunning landing pages for your site. Finally your shop is now more versatile with a new full width shop page, if you don’t wish to display any widgets, and new AJAX add to cart buttons on the product listing.
