We have just released an update of our extremely popular blogging WordPress theme, Olsen. The new version adds a much requested feature to the theme, extended typography controls. Let’s take a closer look.
The new extended controls
The typography options on Olsen up to now have been pretty limited, just allowing you to modify the font size for the body, headings, buttons and forms, but this is no more. The new extended controls allow you to modify the font family, size, line height, text transform and letter spacing for each of the theme’s main sections. Options are available for the body, headings, widget titles and text, and button text. You the font family selection is pretty great as well, almost the entire Google fonts library is available to choose from, guaranteeing you’ll find the proper font for your site. Don’t like Google fonts? No problem, you can now disable them entirely by un-checking the “Enable Google fonts” checkbox, the theme won’t load them any more. In that case you can select one of the standard fonts to use on your site.
