We are really proud about this theme. Our dear friend Thanos designed a theme that rocks! We wanted a theme that could be easily transformed depending on the imagery used. Let’s have a look at the features.
Features
Here are some of the theme’s key elements:
Full width homepage slider
Using a custom post type in WordPress you can set up slider items easily. We didn’t want to restrict the slider in using just pages or posts so we created a custom post type where the featured image is displayed full width, the title and the content in a small box on the left while a custom field takes care of the linking (optional).
Booking form
We created a very simple booking form so you don’t have to mess with plugins and stuff. We do know that most hotel owners will connect this form with some external service but hey, just in case, it’s there for you to use.
Room Carousel and Amenities
The rooms are managed by a custom post type with some really cool features. First of all the photos carousel. All you have to do is upload the images via the standard WordPress upload system and that would be it. WordPress assigns automatically the photos uploaded from the post screen to the room so you don’t have to do anything else. We created an option though so you can select between displaying the photos in the carousel or just using the gallery shortcode. We have also included a simple repeatable field so you can insert the amenities for every room. Here’s how it looks like:
Of course we have included standard blogging functionality so you can just ignore all the hotel related functionality and use this beautiful theme as a blog.
