In order to install the theme upload the theme folder into your WordPress installation themes folder (wp-content/themes) and from the WordPress admin go to Appearance – Themes. The theme should be available in your themes list. Click activate.
You can have a slider with featured posts on the top of you homepage. You can have as many posts as you want appearing in the slider.
There’s a menu added in the WordPress admin called “Featured”. In there you can add a new featured box normally by adding a title, text and a featured image. Under the main editor there’s a checkbox which gives you the ability to add this specific post in the slider. If you choose that, the post won’t be shown as a featured box.
Our custom options panel can be found under Appearance cssigniter Settings. Let’s have a look at each tab’s options:
Within this tab you can set your site’s logo text and slogan or even upload your image logo. You can also select your favorite color scheme and set the separator of the title tag for each page / post.
In this tab you can set the “Learn more” text for your slider in the homepage. The slider can be controlled from this tab as well. Set the slider to auto-slide mode and set the duration between transitions. You can also set the static text that appears next to the slides.
Within the background options tab you can override the template’s background settings and set yours as needed. If don’t want that, just keep this tab disabled by checking the checkbox “Disable custom background”.
Display options options
Here you can set whether you want the content or the excerpt to be displayed on listing pages. You can set the length of the excerpt and set a different “read more” text or characters (e.g. […])
WordPress provides only one pagination option. This can be found at Settings Reading Settings. We decided to take this one step further by providing options for various listing pages. The first one is the global pagination which affects all listing pages. If you want though you can set a different pagination option for Categories, tags and taxonomies. The available options are:
Enabled (which overrides the global option), Disabled (no pagination) and Global (which inherits its value from the Global pagination option).
If you want to display an archive page in your blog all you have to do is create a new page and select the Archive template for the templates drop down menu on the right. Then, in this tab you can select how many posts you want to display and select the archive types that you want (weekly, monthly, yearly).
I don’t think this tab needs an explanation. Just copy paste your Google Analytics code and you are all set for tracking visits.
Use this tab to enter your custom feedburner feed and email urls.
